Althoff Catholic High School head football coach Ken Turner (kneeling at left of center) leads his team in a prayer of thanks after they left the field Saturday afternoon and went to a private area to talk, pray and celebrate their victory. Althoff Catholic High School defeated Camp Point Central-Southeastern 28-7 in the Class 2A semifinal game and will advance to the Class 2A state championship game in Champaign. Their semifinal victory was played at Althoff's home field, the Lindenwood University-Belleville football field, which had been revamped with artificial turf before the start of football season.
