Professional tree climber Alex Kasprzak of Durham, North Carolina, had to find these bells hung in a huge tree in the tree climbing event at the International TreeStuff.com Jamboree being held at the former YMCA summer camp property south of Belleville. The event pits tree climber teams from around the country against other teams in several climbing and rope events related to their profession. This was a timed event, inwhich the climber, aided by a teammate on the ground, has to move through the upper branches of a large tree - from 50 to 70 feet above the ground - and ring colored bells placed in the branches. The bells are designated with various points, and the object of the event is to amass as many points as possible within a half hour of ascending, climbing, and descending.
