March 25,  2011            Members of the Michigan hockey team leap onto the ice after a ruling was made that an iffy goal actually counted, giving them the win.  The University of Michigan Wolverines defeated the University of Nebraska -Omaha Mavericks in a sudden death overtime period 3-2, after regulation time ended with a 2-2 tie.  The officials took several minutes to make a ruling on a goal, which resulted in the Michigan team's win. They will advance after the win in the first semifinal game at the NCAA Division 1 Men's West Regional Hockey Tournament, played on Friday March 25, 2011 at the Scottrade Center in downtown St. Louis.
