Democratic congressional candidate Bill Enyart joins his wife Annette Eckert at the table in their Belleville home on the morning of September 11. He usually wakes up really early, for jogging or exercising, then has tea while he reads the Wall Street Journal and local newspapers. After that, he switches to coffee and has breakfast with his wife, before they start their respective days. Here, Annette Eckert (retired circuit judge) reads over her speech she had been asked to give at a 9/11 Ceremony at Lindenwood University in Belleville. Enyart left shortly after this photo was taken to head into his office downtown, to make and return phone calls, meet with campaign workers, and set up his conference room for a meeting later in the day. He also attended the 10 a.m. 9/11 Memorial Ceremony his wife was speaking at, but only as a member of the audience. Their dog Fritz, is a constant companion.
